“We’re excited to bring the sport of badminton to the Fort Worth community,” said Jim Estes, USA Badminton Interim CEO. “Spectators attending the Yonex U.S. Open will get a sneak peek to the upcoming Paris Olympics. Team USA athletes and other top international stars competing for Olympic glory this summer will be showcasing their amazing talents right here in Fort Worth.”

In the last 18 months, the city has hosted or will host events like USA Wrestling, USA Track and Field, USA Fencing, USA Karate, USA Gymnastics, USA Taekwondo, USA Table Tennis, and USA Weightlifting. These events have a cumulative impact of over 50,000 hotel nights and $31.7 million in direct economic benefit.
