To qualify for the Distance Championships, swimmers have two options depending on their age:
- Swimmers aged 10 years and over: Need to complete the 200m or 400m events by January 18th, 2021.
- Swimmers aged 7-9 years: Need to complete the 100m event by February 15th, 2021.
Time to Shine!
The fastest official time recorded at a club night by the cutoff dates will determine the lane assignments for the Championships swims. This means every practice session counts!
- 10 Years and Over: The Distance Championships will kick off on January 25th, 2021.
- Junior (7-9 Years): This age group will focus on the 100m events. The swimmer with the highest points earned in the 100m races at the Age Championships will be crowned the Distance Champion.
- Intermediate: This age group will compete in the 200m and 400m events. The swimmer with the highest point total from these races during the Distance Championships will be the Distance Champion.
- Youth and Senior: These age groups will take on all distances from 200m to 1500m. The swimmer who accumulates the most points from the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m races during the Distance Championships will earn the prestigious title of Distance Champion.
