Getting Ready for the Tournament

Get ready to compete! The big day is fast approaching, and we’re thrilled to welcome you to the tournament. To make sure everything runs smoothly, we’ve put together some essential information about entries, travel, and accommodation.

Let’s dive into the details:

Entries & Deadlines

First things first: all entries must be submitted through the BWF Online Entry System. Remember, the deadline is Tuesday, October 29th at 11:59 PM BWF HQ time (GMT + 8 hours). No late entries will be accepted, so don’t miss out! The draw will be announced on November 19th, 2024, so mark your calendars!

Visa and Travel Arrangements

Traveling from abroad? If you need a visa to enter the UK, please fill out the attached form to request an official letter from Badminton Wales. This will help with your visa application process.

We’ve got your transportation covered! Badminton Wales will provide transport to and from Cardiff Airport via Flightlink. If you need this service, please fill out the Travel Request form by the deadline. Keep in mind that Flightlink is based at Cardiff Airport, so it will take around 30 minutes to reach the Sport Wales National Centre. Any changes to your travel arrangements must be communicated to us promptly, so we can adjust the transfer schedule accordingly.

Looking for alternative transportation options? The National Express bus station is conveniently located near the Sport Wales National Centre. You can find bus schedules and routes on the National Express website.

Getting to the Sport Wales National Centre

Finding the venue is a breeze! The Sport Wales National Centre is a twenty-minute walk from the National Express bus station. If you prefer to drive, it’s a ten-minute drive. To walk there, head straight down Westgate Street, cross the bridge, take a left through Bute Park, and follow the walkway until you reach the Sport Wales National Centre. Don’t worry, you can’t miss it! If you happen to reach the cricket ground, you’ve gone a little too far.

Need a ride? There are several taxi companies operating in Cardiff.

And the best part? There’s free parking available at the Sport Wales National Centre.

Accommodation

We’re here to help with your accommodation needs! To make hotel reservations, please contact [Hotel Contact Information]. We want to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We’re excited to have you here and can’t wait to see you at the tournament! Remember to submit your entry on time, take care of your travel arrangements, and enjoy your time in Cardiff!
